Through her group of institutions, she has created jobs for 8 million women entrepreneurs at the bottom of the pyramid, put 350,000 children back into mainstream education, ensures segregation of waste of 670,000 households every day and creates access to healthcare for 100,000 people every day through public health platforms. Dr. Sankar’s initiation into development work began with a focus on eliminating child labor, but her visionary leadership swiftly broadened the horizon to include women empowerment, environment, skill development and health.
